Moscow (Fides Service) - Pope John Paul II’s funeral will be shown live on Friday 8 April on large screens in the Catholic Cathedral of Moscow, according to Cathnews in Moscow. The Funeral Mass will be broadcast thanks to a special satellite aerial which will relay the Vatican Television Centre programme. The broadcast which will start at 12 noon (in Moscow) and is open to all the faithful will be followed by a special prayer for the repose of the soul of John Paul II. A local Catholic newspaper “Light of the Gospel” said Russian television will give reports on the funeral prepared by its own correspondents in Rome.
