Ouagadougou (Fides Service) - Our Lady of Fatima medical centre where Camillian Fathers care for terminally ill AIDS patients, many often abandoned and excluded, is extending its activity to help an increasing number of people in need of assistance, treatment and, most important of all, loving care .
The latest addition is a new paediatric ward with 12 beds where little HIV+ children, are treated and “cosseted” by all the staff, in particular Italian Bishops from Brescia, who collaborate with the local community of Brothers.
It is deeply moving to see the children smile with gratitude. They suffer, but they are happy to be in a places where they are cared for and they also enjoy the games room adjoining the ward where there is also a film projector and cakes and sweets .
Certainly St. Camillo in heaven is happy to see his Brothers engaged in this work, body and soul, sparing neither time, means nor energy, certain the Lord is pleased for this service of lofe and care for the least on the earth, but the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven.
