Rome (Agenzia Fides) – As of October 10, the Comboni Missionary Sisters have opened a new section on their official website entitled “Preparing for the 10th General Chapter 2010.” The date chosen is no coincidence, as it is in fact the feast day of their founder, Saint Daniel Comboni. The General Chapter of 2010, inspired by the desires of their Founder for sisters who were “holy and competent,” will bear the theme: “Holy and Competent – To regenerate life and life to the full (Jn 10:10).” Through this page on the website, they hope to share with others their preparations towards the event that is so important in the life of the Congregation of Comboni Missionary Sisters, as well as in the life of the Church and the Mission.
The various links offer more information on: the spiritual journey in preparation, the story of the previous General Chapters, some significant reflections on writings from the Superior Generals; preparatory documents, and other sources that will help the Missionaries in celebrating their General Chapter, to begin in Verona on September 1, 2010.
