Czestochowa (Agenzia Fides) – The Polish Catholic magazine “Niedzela,” the most widely-read magazine in Poland, headquartered in Czestochowa, has recently published the third encyclical of Pope Benedict XVI on integral human development in charity and in truth, “Caritas in veritate.” Nearly 150,000 copies of the encyclical in Polish were published by the magazine.
“The social encyclical of Benedict XVI is a document of great importance, as the world discusses the present economic crisis,” Fides was told by Niedzela's Editor-in-Chief, Monsignor Ireneusz Skubiś. We, as a Catholic weekly, wish to offer our readers and the faithful of Poland this text of the encyclical as soon as possible.” (MF/SL) (Agenzia Fides 14/7/2009)
