Iargara (Agenzia Fides) – A unnamed persons tells us: “Here you often find yourself in traps invented by the engineers of financial crimes. Wholesale drug peddlers . Sex traders. Traffickers of death even in the name of a religion which has lost God and feeds on terror”. These thoughts are not hidden, they are not new, everyone knows what is happening, but it is difficult to talk about it or admit it here in Moldavia, in this village of anonymous old folk, in a desert of homes where, like in a horror film, the last few inhabitants are old people and children alone, undefended. A man confirms this: “Most of our young people have left, only the elderly and abandoned children remain. We receive very small pensions. There is no other country with a similar disaster. This is a catastrophe. Every family has someone abroad.” Their faces are covered because they only speak it we guarantee anonymity. They all say the same thing: “we are the only ones left, old people and abandoned children”. A woman tells us: “They all leave.
