VATICAN - Sunday 21 June the Holy Father Benedict XVI at San Giovanni Rotondo

Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) – Sunday 21 June, the Holy Father Benedict XVI will make a pastoral visit to San Giovanni Rotondo. According to the programme issued by the Holy See Press Office, the Papal helicopter, coming from the Vatican, will land at 9.15 Antonio Massi sports ground. At 9.35, there will be a private visit to the Shrine of Santa Maria delle Grazie and Veneration of the body of Saint Pio da Pietrelcina in the crypt. At 10.30 the Pontiff will preside a Concelebration of the Eucharist outside in the Church of San Pio da Pietrelcina and lead the recitation of the Angelus. In the afternoon at 16.45 there will be a meeting with patients and medical and management staff of Casa Sollievo della Sofferenza, the local hospital. At 17.30 the Pope will meet the local priests and men and women religious in the church of San Pio da Pietrelcina. At 18.30 the Holy Father will depart by helicopter for the Vatican. (S.L.)
