Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) – Cardinal Giovanni Lajolo, President of the Pontifical Commission for the State of Vatican City and President of the Governing of the State of Vatican City, will be present at the Book Fair in Frankfurt to present the novelties being published by Vatican Museum Editions (EMV): two works on the Vatican Art Gallery – Catalogue of the Exposition and Guide to the Masterpieces of the Vatican Art Gallery – and the new collection “The Word in Drawings: the Bible in the Sistine Chapel,” beginning with the first book, “Michelangelo and the Vault.” An upcoming translation in Arabic is expected to be published soon by EMV.
During the event, which will take place Friday, October 17 at 11 o’clock in the pavilion 5.1, stand B.943 at the Book Fair, there will also be a display on the activity of the Vatican Museums Office (those who are organizing the publication of works on the activities of research, restoration, conservation, new additions, and cultural promotion of the collections of the Museums and all the Cultural Wealth entrusted to their care) and the Libreria Editrice Vaticana, official publisher of the Holy See, which in addition to publishing official documents from the Holy See, also publishes works of theology, philosophy, spirituality, history of the Church, Canon Law, and personal works of the Pontiffs.
