Tai Pei (Agenzia Fides) – The Office for Sacred Scripture of the Commission for the Doctrine of the Faith, of the Regional Bishops’ Conference in Taiwan has given several indications as to how Catholics on the island can live the Year of St. Paul. According to a report from Christian Life Weekly, the weekly bulletin of the Archdiocese of Tai Pei, the document signed by Bishop Peter Liu (Director of the Office) contains the indications for celebrating the Year of St. Paul. It suggests that there be “a greater reading of the words and actions of Saint Paul, imitating his spirit of evangelization.” Thus, they ask all Biblical associations and faithful to read the Letters and all parts of Sacred Scripture with reference to the Saint; organize courses and seminars on Saint Paul and deepen in their understanding of his Letters; reflect on his conversion; learn from his manner of preaching Christ; take an active role in pilgrimages to Pauline sites and all scheduled celebrations; fulfill all the requirements for obtaining the Indulgence for the Year of St. Paul, granted by the Holy Father Benedict XVI.
