San Salvador (Agenzia Fides) - Nine heads of state and five Cardinals will attend the beatification of Mgr. Oscar Arnulfo Romero y Galdámez, to be held in San Salvador on May 23, says a note sent to Fides by Mgr. Rafael Urrutia, one of the organizers of the event. Mgr. Urrutia does not specify the names of the political leaders who have already confirmed their presence, but we know that the government of El Salvador invited all leaders of Latin America to the beatification. There is also confirmation of the presence, in addition to 5 Cardinals, of 15 Archbishops, 60 Bishops, 1,200 priests, and about 250,000 faithful are expected.
