ASIA/CHINA - New resources for evangelisation: 84 seminarians conclude 7 years of theory and practical formation at China's 12 major seminaries

Beijing (Agenzia Fides) - According to recent figures issued by a “Faith” Catholic news bulletin published in He Bei, this year no less than 84 seminarians completed 7 years of formation at China's 12 major seminaries. Faith reports that on July 6: studies for the priesthood were completed as follows: 11 seminarians at She Shan Seminary in the diocese of Shang Hai; 27 at Shen Yang seminary in the diocese of Shen Yang; 19 at He Bei Seminary in the province of He Bei; 27 at Zhong Nan Seminary in the diocese of Wu Chang but serves the central southern provinces of Hu Nan, Hu Bei, Guang Dong, Guang Xi, Hai Nan, He Nan. At the following seminaries there were no students who completed their formation: National seminary in Beijing, Ji Lin, Inner Mongolia, Shan Xi (St. John Monte Corvino), Shaan Xi, Shan Dong and Si Chuan.
The seminarians at He Bei seminary come from 8 different dioceses: Shi Jia Zhuang, Cang Zhou, Xing Tai, Han Dan, Heng Shui, Tang Shan in He Bei province and from the provinces of Gui Zhou and Shan Xi. All these young men who have completed an intense period of study and practical experience will give significant impulse to evangelisation in China.
