A speaker at the inauguration ceremony Sabina Franklin said “they say behind every successful man there is a woman, but behind every successful woman is the woman herself with her motivation, her courage and her hard work.”

With regard to the role of women in the Catholic Church, Minney Singh said “although women do not have the same institutional decision-making rights, many, after adequate formation serve as lay ministers of the Eucharist, assistants in parish pastoral work, ministry to the sick and prison pastoral.” (AP) (16/3/2007 Agenzia Fides; Righe:23; Parole:226)
