Bella Vista (Agenzia Fides) - To celebrate its 180th anniversary the parish of Nuestra Señora del Carmen parish in Bella Vista, Argentina has organised various initiatives.
Among the different cultural activities already underway Expocarisma a most successful exhibition on local religious communities and church movements and the development of the parish. Nine religious communities and movements such as Catholic Action, Cursillos, Legion of Mary and Charismatic Renewal were represented.
The parish devotes special attention to catechesis and pastoral care for families, and in preparation for baptism and matrimony.
Three main priorities are liturgy, charity and catechesis. One recent and successful initiative is Pastoral care for the sacrament of penance. Other important pastoral fields are pastoral for the sick and youth pastoral with the Explorer group and a youth choir whose next commitment is Ash Wednesday Mass with hymns in Creole.
