“VERONIQUE. DIALOGUE OF THE HISTORY AND THE CARNAL SOUL” BY CHARLES PEGUY

Tuesday, 7 October 2003

Rome (Fides Service) – On Thursday 9 October at 9pm at the Church of St Louis dei Francesi there will be a reading of excerpts from “Veronique. Dialogue of the history and the carnal soul” by Charles Peguy published by Piemme and the magazine “30Days in the Church and in the World”.
On occasion of the publication of the first Italian translation of “Veroniqe Dialogue of the history and the carnal soul” by Charles Peguy, 30Days in the Church and in the World and the Church of St Louis dei Francesi wish to rediscover this great French author through an unusual presentation: the reading of the Gethsemani extract of the work, read by actors Andrea Carabelli, of the Lombardi_Tiezzi theatre company and Frederic Lacjhkar, director of the French Theatre in Rome. The passages will be read alternately in French and Italian, at the church of the Church of St Louis dei Francesi particularly suited to Charles Peguy, who was very devoted to Saint Louis. Gethsemani is a Gospel meditation on the death of Christ. In fact Peguy reflects on the Gospel according to St Matthew. SL (Fides Service 7/10/2003 EM lines 38 Words: 478)
