Taipei (Agenzia Fides) - “Mary, to You we entrust the cause of Life” is the theme of the next meeting 4 - 8 October in Fatima, Portugal, organised by The World Apostolate of Fatima. The Apostolate has called for a world wide recitation of the Rosary prayer on Sunday 8 October. Other believers are also encouraged to pray for Life in their own manner for about 20 minutes, the time of the recitation of the Rosary.
The Chinese Regional Bishops Conference in Taiwan has welcomed the call and according to Christian Life Weekly bulletin of Taipei archdiocese, Conference secretary Bishop John Chen, addressed a letter to clergy and faithful to inform them of the initiative and to urge Catholics in Taiwan to recite the Rosary on 8 October in communion with Catholics around the world “entrusting to Mary the cause of Life. We hope the whole world will unite to pray for life in a wave of world prayer”.
