ASIA/INDIA - Orionini community in Bangalore celebrates religious profession of first three Indian members: after the Philippines and Korea the sons of Don Orione in Asia take another step

Bangalore (Agenzia Fides) - The Orinini family in India welcomed its first three local members Sidon, Martin and Praveen, who recently made their profession at Christ the King parish in Bangalore in the presence of the director of the Piccola Opera della Divina Provvidenza, Don Flavio Peloso. "Now - explains Don Orione media officer Aurelio Fusi, - besides our missionaries Rev Oreste Ferrari, Rev Lorenzo Tosatto, Rev Mariano Zapico, Brother Francisco dos Reis and cleric Edson da Silva, we have our three first Indian religious Sidon, Martin and Praveen. We also have three novices Jomet, Vijay Paul and Subin, five postulants and seventeen students at high school or vocation discernment year. With this step in India, the Orionini community confirms its trend of growth in Asia. After the Philippines and Korea now is the hour for India". Don Orione religious today are present in thirty different countries, half of which are mission territories, with religious men and women and laity engaged in many forms of apostolate of charity to help the poorest people and those most in need.
