AMERICA/COLOMBIA - "Lay Catholic: you are a disciple and missionary. Let us walk together": 1st national meeting of committees of lay people associated with mission institutes and congregations

Bogota (Agenzia Fides) - "Lay Catholic: you are a disciple and missionary. Let us walk together " is the slogan of the 1st national meeting of committees of lay people associated with mission institutes and congregations to be held 1- 3 July at Colombia’s National Mission Centre in Bogota. The objective is to give new impulse to lay missionary commitment in the Church, starting from the new challenges and needs in the world today, to start a process of mission Ad gentes of lay people.
The meeting will focus on reflection, activity and missionary commitment on the themes: “being and making disciples”; “making our parishes missionary”. There will be discussions on "How to be a lay mission in the local Church"; “The missionary Hour of the Laity”; “Vocation, Discipleship and Mission”. Questions to be treated include the formation process, steps, modules proper to the lay associations; “Disciples and Missionaries”.
