Tai Pei (Fides Service) - According to Christian Life Weekly, the bulletin of Tai Pei archdiocese d di Tai Pei, the Internet is proving an effective help for evangelisation. The experience of Mrs Jiang is an eloquent demonstration. Three years ago Mrs Jiang, who lives in the diocese of HsinChu, visited quite be chance Radio Veritas web site www.tianzhu.org and listened in casually to catechesis by Fr Joseph Lee Che-Hsiu sj. She was immdeiately captured by that “encounter” and wrote to the Radio asking to know more about Christianity and the Catholic Church. Mrs Jiang continued to listen regularly to Radio Veritas and was instructed in the faith by local priests and women religious. On April 15 this year during the Easter Vigil Mass, Mrs Jiang received the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Holy Communion becoming a member of the Catholic Church. The radio is a valid means for preaching the Gospel and helping Chinese world live the Christian life with modern means is a priority. Today Radio Veritas is mobilising the faithful to engage in “evangelisation on line”. (Agenzia Fides 03/05/2006 Righe: 21 Parole: 208
