AMERICA/ARGENTINA - “Forming pastoral workers in theology, pastoral, anthropology and culture from the point of view of mission” - 24th anniversary of Missiology Course promoted by the Pontifical Mission Societies

Buenos Aires (Fides Service) - The South Horn Missology Course organised by the Pontifical Mission Societies in Argentina marks its 24 anniversary this year. It aims is to “Form pastoral workers in theology, pastoral, anthropology and culture, from the point of view of mission”.
The most recent course 6 - 25 February 2006 was attended by 65 students, priests, religious and lay people from different countries in the region.
The PMS say the three cycle course was a success thanks to “expert teachers, a spirit of brotherhood, sharing of experience, cultural and religious-missionary celebrations.
The closing Mass was presided by the papal nuncio Archbishop Adriano Bernardini, and concelebrated by the Bishop of Formosa , Bishop José Vicente Conejero Gallego President of the Bishops’ Commission for Missions and numerous priests. (AP) (16/3/2006 Agenzia Fides; Righe:18; Parole:176)
