ASIA/TAIWAN - Good Shepherd Friends Foundation holds Charity Evening in aid of women and girls in difficulty

Tai Chung (Fides Service) - For over a hundred years the Good Shepherd Friends Foundation has assisted women and girls in difficulty, particularly those trapped in the circle of prostitution of minors, victims of domestic violence or those enticed into crime. The foundation provides the women with accommodation medical care and a chance to study. This activity has many expenses and every year the Foundation organises a charity evening to raise funds. According to Tai Pei diocesan bulletin Christian Life Weekly once again this year the Foundation invited people of good will to a charity evening to make the funds necessary to continue the good work started over 100 years ago. During the evening held on 26 November in the diocese of Tai Chung, the Foundation illustrated the past 12 months activity and thanked members and benefactors for their support encouraging those present to continue to be generous with their contributions.
