Buenos Aires (Agenzia Fides) - From June 30 to July 2, the annual national meeting will be held in Buenos Aires, and brings together diocesan delegates and chaplains from migrant communities working in all of the dioceses of Argentina. The theme is that of the Pope's Message for World Day of Migrants 2017: "Minor migrants, vulnerable and voiceless". As noted in the note sent to Fides by the Argentine Bishops' Conference, this is an "intense moment of reflection, formation and exchange of pastoral experiences throughout the country with regard to human mobility".
This year Fr. Fabio Baggio, CS, Undersecretary, Dicastery for Human Development will be present. The Legal Section of the Episcopal Commission on the Pastoral Care of migrants and travelers will guide the reflection on the national Law on Migration and its repercussions, while the technical section will present a laboratory for the design and management of communication for each diocese.
As written in the note, one of the most important moments of the meeting is the sharing of the reality of the migration Pastoral of every diocese. This exchange on human mobility at a diocesan level contributes to the enrichment of mutual knowledge and the ability to replicate service initiatives for migrants and refugees in different places.
