Lima (Fides Service) - At the end of the Year of the Eucharist 13 ecclesiastical jurisdictions Piura, Trujillo, Chiclayo, Chulucanas, Chimbote, Cajamarca, Chota, Huamachuco, Jaén, Chachapoyas, Moyobamba, Huaraz and Huari in northern Peru will celebrate a Great Eucharistic Congress 10-13 November in the archdiocese of Trujillo, on the theme “Eucharist, light and life of the new millennium”. The event will gather participants from all over the region. Catechesis on various subjects will be given by prominent members of the Church from Peru and abroad including Cardinal Juan Sandoval Iñiguez archbishop of Guadalajara (Mexico). In this period from 11 to 13 November the diocese of Ica in central Peru will celebrate its 4th Eucharistic-Marian Congress on the theme “United with Christ through Mary we evangelise”.
