Monday, 4 April 2016 area crisis

Tripoli (Agenzia Fides) - "We live waiting, like the rest of the city's population, as always praying for peace. This is our task at the moment", say Church sources to Agenzia Fides from Tripoli, Libya's capital, where four days ago the President of the Libyan Presidential Council, Fayez elSarraj arrived, designated by the UN.
"The city streets are still patrolled by armed militias, and it is not easy to disentangle the various factions. In any case the situation is calm", concludes Fides source.
Meanwhile it was announced that the Libyan State Council, envisaged by the organization of national reconciliation agreements signed in Morocco under the auspices of the UN, will be convened tomorrow for its first meeting in Tripoli. (L.M.) (Agenzia Fides 04/04/2016)
