Taipei (Fides Service) - The pastoral office at Fu Ren Catholic University recently oragnised a seminar for catechism teachers attended by 40 priests, religious and lay people. According to Christian Life Weekly, issued by Taipei diocese the participants listened to a conference given by Maria Chao, editor of the Catholic publication “Witnesses” on the theme “Building the Person” referring to Catechists work of human and spiritual education.
During the seminar the participants reflected on the authentic meaning of teaching catechism which is not only transmitting the essentials of the Catholic faith, its aim is to lead the person to ever more profound communion of life with the Lord. Catechists are called to encounter the Lord by living the faith in their every day lives.
