AFRICA/CAMEROON - New rector for Paul VI major inter-diocesan Seminary at Nkongsamba

Vatican City (Fides Service) - Cardinal Crescenzio Sepe Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelisation of Peoples Crescenzio Sepe on 20 May 2005 appointed Rector of Paul VI major inter-diocesan Seminary in the diocese of Nkongsamba (Cameroon), Rev. Achille Eyabi of the clergy of Edéa.
The new rector was born in 1962 at Ngambe. He attended the local Catholic school at Ngambe and secondary school at a Edéa. He studied philosophy and theology at Urban University in Rome 1982/1990. He was ordained a priest in 1990 at Edéa. Since his ordination he has been: assistant priest at Saint André parish in Pouma (1991); first parish priest at Ngompem parish and episcopal Vicar (1992/96); 1996 - 2000 further studies at Urban University for a doctorate in dogmatic theology; 2000 - 2005 Rector of Mbanga propaedeutic seminary and vicar general of the diocese of Edéa.
