Vatican City (Fides Service) - Cardinal Crescenzio Sepe, Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelisation of Peoples on 29 April 2005, appointed Rector of Morning Star College inter-diocesan seminary at Barrackpore Rev. Franklin Menezes of the clergy of the archdiocese of Calcutta.
The new Rector was born on 10 October 1951 and ordained a priest on 20 February 1977 in Mangalore. He attended minor seminary in Mangalore, studied philosophy at Barrackpore Seminary and theology at Poona Seminary, completing his studies in Rome.
