AFRICA/SENEGAL - Erection of the inter-diocesan Seminary "Saint Paul" in Kaolack and appointment of the first Rector

Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - The Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples, on April 9, 2010 erected the inter-diocesan Seminary "Saint Paul" in Kaolack, Senegal, and appointed the first Rector, Rev. Leon Ndour, of the diocesan clergy of Kaolack.
The new Rector, after his primary and secondary studies attended the Major Seminary Libermann-Sébikhotane and was ordained a priest on 20 April 1981. After being Assistant pastor and Pastor in the years 1985-87 he studied at the UCAO and obtained a licentiate in pastoral Theology. In the following years he was Pastor in several parishes, Director of the Minor Seminary of Saint Augustin in Kaolack and from 2009 he was Rector of the inter-diocesan Seminary "Saint Paul". (S.L.)
