Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - On January 14, 2012 the Holy Father Benedict XVI accepted the resignation from the pastoral governance of the Archdiocese of Beira (Mozambique) presented by His Exc. Mgr. Jaime Pedro Gonçalves, in accordance with canon 401 § 1 of the Code of Canon Law and appointed His Exc. Mgr. João Carlos Hatoa Nunes, Titular Bishop of Amudarsa and Auxiliary of the Archdiocese of Maputo as Apostolic Administrator sede vacante et ad nutum Sanctae Sedis of the Archdiocese of Beira.
