AFRICA/REPUBLIC OF CONGO - Rev. Jean Marie Nsimba appointed rector of the Abbé Charles Mahonde Inter-diocesan Propaedeutic Seminary in Ouesso

Vatican City (Fides Service) - Cardinal Crescenzio Sepe, Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelisation of Peoples has, 23 July 2004, appointed rector of the Abbé Charles Mahonde Inter-diocesan Propaedeutic Seminary in the diocese of Ouesso in the Republic of Congo, Rev. Jean Marie Nsimba, of the clergy of the diocese of Nkayi.
Rev, Nsimba was born in Kimbenza-Grand, Boko-Songo district on 7 March 1967. He studied philosophy and theology at the Emile Biayenda major seminary in Brazzaville (1989-1992 and1993-1997, with a year of pastoral experience in between at the parish of Our Lady of Fatima at Dolisie). He was ordained a priest on 6 September1998 in Nkayi Cathedral. From 2000 to 2002 he was Bishop’s secretary and director of the Père Schaeffer printing press; from 2002 to 2003 he was bursar, Professor and vice- rector at the propaedeutic seminary in Loango; 2003-2004 spiritual director of the propaedeutic seminary at Ouesso.
