Rome (Agenzia Fides) - "I pray the Lord that Libya finds the path of peace again. I pray also for Gaddafi, that he may find peace and be reconciled with his people", says His Exc. Mgr.Giovanni Innocenzo Martinelli, Apostolic Vicar of Tripoli to Fides, expressing his concern about the news reported by various media organizations, regarding a possible recruitment by Gaddafi for an army of mercenaries groped to regain power, or at worst, to prevent the Transitional Council of the Libyan government. As far as the future prospects of the Country are concerned, Mgr. Martinelli adds: "The problem is to create a government to lead the Country towards a more stable situation. We will see how the different components of the Libyan society manage this transition.
