Barcelona (Agenzia Fides) – On the occasion of the upcoming visit of Benedict XVI to Santiago de Compostela and Barcelona, Spain, scheduled for November 6 and 7, the Spanish Bishops' Conference has launched a new website: www.visitadelpapa2010.org, available in Italian, Spanish, French, and English, containing all the information about the stages of the journey, the official program, and a biography of the Pope. The site also offers an account of the last visit of a Pope to Barcelona in 1982, the link to follow the news through Twitter, a page on the Catholic Church in Spain, and a section on Pope Benedict XVI's visits to Spain. There will most likely be a means to follow the visit in live and visit the two websites of the Archdioceses of Santiago and Barcelona, with additional information about their initiatives and specific details on the local visits.
