OCEANIA/PAPUA NEW GUINEA - Bishop of Kerema resigns, successor appointed

Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) – The Holy Father Benedict XVI, on March 12, 2010 accepted the renunciation of the pastoral government of the Diocese of Kerema (Papua New Guinea), presented by Archbishop Paul John Marx, MSC, in conformity with can. 401 § 1 of the Code of Canon Law. He is succeeded by Archbishop Patrick Tawal, MSC, Coadjutor of the same diocese. (SL) (Agenzia Fides 13/03/2010)
