ASIA/KAZAKHSTAN - National Director for Pontifical Mission Societies appointed

Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) – Cardinal Ivan Dias, Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples, on 27 November 2009, appointed as National Director of Pontifical Mission Societies in Kazakhstan for five years (2009-2014) Fr. Bonaventure Garofalo.
The new National Director, of the Work of Jesus the High Priest, age 40, is an American citizen, knows German, Italian and Russian. He works in the Archdiocese of Astana, about 400 km from the capital. (S.L.) (Agenzia Fides 22/12/2009)
