Taipei (Fides Service) - The Association of Third Order Franciscan Volunteers is receiving marks of appreciation and support. The goal of the Association, started by members of the Third Order of Franciscans in Taiwan, is to be “in communion with society and give maximum attention to the weaker members”. After some months of working at a Centre for people with mental illness the Association was praised by patients and by the Association of people with mental and physical disabilities. One young woman volunteer said: “I thank the Lord for this great opportunity. I have learned much from meeting these sick persons. This experience has helped my spiritual growth”.
