AMERICA/ECUADOR - “Missionary Festival” in the four sectors of the city of Quito, for Mission Sunday

Quito (Agenzia Fides) – For World Mission Sunday (DOMUND) 2009, in the four sectors of the city of Quito, the capital of Ecuador, there will be “Missionary Festivals” for “praying and celebrating all our missions and missionaries throughout the world.” This is what a statement sent to Agenzia Fides from the Pontifical Mission Societies of Ecuador, Youth Ministry, Catechesis, and the Archdiocese of Quito. The day will include the participation of Catholic musical artists and various theatrical and dance performances.
The four areas of the city chosen for the event correspond to the North, where from 10am to 6pm they will meet. At 12pm, there will be a celebration of the Mass in all four sectors. (GT) (Agenzia Fides 14/10/2009)
