AFRICA/BURKINA FASO - New Camillian religious at St. Camillus Parish in Ouagadougou

Ouagadougou (Agenzia Fides) – The Parish of Saint Camillus in Ouagadougou celebrated the feast of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary with 19 young men who had expressed their desire to belong to the Lord in the Order of Ministers of the Sick. 5 are part of the Camillian Delegation in Benin and 8 are part of the Camillian Vice-Province of Burkina Faso. Thirteen of them have temporal vows and the other five, all from the Camillian Vice Province of Burkina Faso, now have perpetual vows.
The vows were received by Fr. Pietro Petrosillo, representative of the Provincial Superior of the “Siculo Napoletana” Province, and Fr. Francois Segdo, Vice Provincial of the Burkinabe Vice Province. The Mass for the Professions, which lasted over 4 hours, was presided by Archbishop Philippe Ouedgraogo of Ouagadougou, who was joined by a large number of priests and faithful from various areas.
