Rosario (Agenzia Fides) - “With Mary, missionaries and pilgrims of hope” is the theme of the 17th pilgrimage on foot between the cities of Rosario and San Nicola, which will take place Saturday, September 12 and Sunday, September 13. The initiative forms a part of the celebrations for the Jubilee Year of the 75th anniversary of the creation of the Archdiocese of Rosario (April 20, 1934).
As Agenzia Fides was informed by the Provincial Director of Worship for the Province of Buenos Aires, the hike to San Nicola will begin on Saturday, at 3pm, with stops at Pueblo Esther, Arroyo Seco, and Pavon. On Sunday, the pilgrims will stop in Villa Constitucion, and they are scheduled to reach the Shrine to Our Lady of the Rosary in San Nicola at 7am. Later, Archbishop Jose Luis Mollaghan of Rosario will celebrate a Mass.
During the pilgrimage, they will pray for “for more vocations to the priesthood and religious life, and for the perseverance and sanctification of vocations; for the sick, that they may find comfort and peace in God; for the Archdiocese, that it may receive abundant graces and blessings in its Jubilee Year, for personal and pastoral intentions of the priests in this Year for Priests; for the unity of the nation, for a commitment on everyone's part to solidarity, in service and justice...to build a future worthy of all Argentineans; for the rebirth of hope in all aspects of life; for respect for life from conception until natural death; for the youth, that they may find in Mary the example to follow in their life.” (GT) (Agenzia Fides 11/9/2009)
