ASIA/CHINA - Mother of Mercy Hospital offers a week of free medical check up and treatment to women: a way of transmitting the Blessed Virgin Mary’s spirit of mercy, love and service for all people

WenShui (Fides Service) - The Catholic Mother of Mercy Hospital in the village of Xin Li, district of Wen Shui, in the province of Shan Xi, has a staff of 30 directed by Father Ren Min.
Recently for a whole week the offered the Hospital local women a service of free diagnosis (electrocardiogram, x-rays blood tests). More than 100 women took advantage of the offer which was greatly appreciated by the local people and authorities. Speaking to a local publication Faith, don Ren Min said “We wanted to show special concern for the health of women in order to transmit the spirit of mercy and love with which we serve here at the hospital in order to make present the merciful love of God, since our hospital in named after Mary Mother of Mercy”. Moreover - the priest said - “this also helps our staff to be more aware that our service is not only medical but also spiritual and everything we do is to render glory to God, imitating Our Lady, Mother of Mercy”.
