Buenos Aires (Agenzia Fides) – All of Argentina has united in celebrating the Day of the Unborn Child today, March 25. The various communities, movements, and institutions have already been celebrating events since this past weekend, in order to promote awareness on the value of human life from the moment of conception.
In Buenos Aires, there will be a Rosary for Life organized by the “Nazareth Association” at the Parish of “Nuestra Señora del Pilar.” The Family and Life Forum is organizing a Festival for Life on March 28, beginning at 4pm, with a March and other activities. The prayer group “Nuestra Señora del Cielo” held a Mass for Life and the Family on Sunday, March 22.
In San Juan, on the 25th, there will be a Mass for Life at the Cathedral of “San Juan de Cuyo” with a special blessing for pregnant mothers; at the end, there will be a conference on “The Day for the Unborn Child: Defend Life,” given by Dr. Ricardo Sanchez Recio. On Thursday, March 26, there will be a March for Life.
The central act in Mendoza will take place on Friday, March 27, at 7:30pm in Independence Square, organized by other pro-life groups. There will also be theatrical performances following. March 21 to April 1 will be the Week of the Unborn Child, which will include youth activities, a marathon, Rosary, Mass, and a Symposium.
In Salta, there will also be a Mass in the Cathedral, presided by the Vicar General of the Archdiocese, Monsignor Dante Bernacki, with a blessing for pregnant mothers.
In La Plata, the group “We Choose Life” has organized a Bike Tour for Life. There will also be special artistic performances featuring mascots and music.
In San Justo, there will also be various events with Rosaries, Masses, etc. There will also be a pilgrimage to Our Lady of Lourdes Shrine. On the 25th, Bishop Baldomero Carlos Martini will celebrate Mass with the schools.
There will be various Masses with blessings for pregnant mothers, campaigns, contests, bike tours, etc. for life in the Diocese of Lomas de Zamora and a Mass at the Shrine of Our Lady of the Rosary in San Nicolas, Presided by Bishop Hector Cardelli. (RG) (Agenzia Fides 25/3/2009)
