Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - The Holy Father Pope Benedict XVI, on 12 February 2009, accepted the renunciation of the pastoral government of the Archdiocese of Medan (Indonesia) presented by Archbishop Alfred Gonti Pius Datubara, O.F.M. Cap, in conformity with the Code of Canon Law, canon 401 § 1. He is succeeded by Bishop Anicetus Bongsu Antonius Sinaga, O.F.M. Cap, Coadjutor Bishop of the same Archdiocese.
