Czestochowa (Agenzia Fides) - “Benedict XVI in the lens of the photo-reporters of Czestochowa, Altötting, Mariazell, and Loreto” is the title of the international photo exposition taking place in the Pilgrimage Museum in Czestochowa. The exposition shows a collection of photographs taken by reporters in Czestochowa, Altötting, Mariazell, and Loreto, during the the Holy Father's visit to these famous Marian shrines. The head of the exposition (organized with the support of Czestochowa's Mayor Tadeusz Wrona) is photo-reporter from Czestochowa, Zbigniew Burda. “The idea for the exposition,” he told Fides, “came about in May 2006, during Pope Benedict XVI Apostolic Journey to the Shrine of Jasna Gora. My hope is that the exposition can visit other European countries. In fact, the exposition not only displays Benedict XVI the pilgrim, but also reveals the great wealth of Christian culture found in Europe.” (MF/SL) (Agenzia Fides 22/10/2008)
