Boyaca (Agenzia Fides) – September 24-27, the city of Chiquinquira (Boyaca) will host the First International Congress on Marian Theology at the National Marian Shrine of Our Lady of the Rosary in Chiquinquira.
Among the objectives for the Congress are: open a new area for reflection and meditation on the mystery of Mary, to find a contemporary vision of the role of Jesus’ Mother in salvation history; offer an academic reflection on Marian Theology, in search of new developments and the current panorama on Mary as sister, disciple, and missionary, and believer, in the context of Latin America; review, from new theological perspectives, the foundations of Marian spirituality that accompany the traditional expressions of faith, the role of Mary in the daily life of the believer.
