Czestochowa (Agenzia Fides) - The most recent issue (May/June 2008) of the Catholic bi-monthly publication “My Rainbow Newspaper” (in Polish: Moje Pismo Tecza) for children presents the theme of the missions. The periodical is prepared and printed by the Catholic weekly, “Niedzela,” the most widely-read Catholic publication in Poland with headquarters in Czestochowa. “My Rainbow Newspaper” was an initiative of the “Niedzela” editors, in conjunction with the Holy Childhood Association of the Archdiocese of Czestochowa. The magazine contains missionary catechesis, testimonies of missionaries, a “missionary map” with the presentation of all the continents, and a comics section.
“We wish to offer children a presentation on the missions because in Poland, this year is dedicated to the Pontifical Mission Societies, especially the Holy Childhood Association,” Monsignor Ireneusz Skubis, Editor-in-Chief of the weekly “Niedzela” and Director of “My Rainbow Magazine.” (MF/SL) (Agenzia Fides 8/5/2008; righe 13, parole 138)
