VATICAN - THE POPE APPOINTS NEW CARDINAL MEMBERS OF THE CONGREGATION FOR THE EVANGELISATION OF PEOPLES

Vatican City (Fides Service ) – Pope John Paul II has appointed Members of the Congregation for the Evangelisation of Peoples the following Cardinals created on 21 October 2003: Cardinal Renato Raffaele Martino (President Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace); Cardinal Javier Lozano Barragan (President of the Pontifical Council for Health Workers); Cardinal Stephen Fumio Hamao (President of the Pontifical Council for Migrants and Itinerant Peoples); Cardinal Attilio Nicora (President of the Administration of the Patrimony of the Holy See); Cardinal Anthony Olubunmi Okogie (Archbishop of Lagos, Nigeria); Cardinal Gabriel Zubeir Wako (Archbishop of Khartoum, Sudan); Cardinal Telesphore Placidus Toppo (Archbishop of Ranchi, India); Cardinal Jean-Baptiste Pham Minh Mân (Archbishop of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam).
