ASIA/CHINA - International channel of national TV shows 15 minutes of life in a Catholic community

Beijing (Agenzia Fides) - On 21 January the international channel of national TV in China showed a 15 minute programme on life in Catholic communities in China, including part of a Mass. According to Faith bulletin published in He Bei, the programme described life in Catholic communities in Bejing, Shang Hai and Chong Qing with brief shots of a Mass, the parish choir, the faithful receiving communion. Other shots included choir practice in the parish and life in the seminary with an interview with former seminary teacher now Bishop Li Jing auxiliary bishop of Ning Xia, ordained on 21 December last year with the approval of the Pope.
