Roma (Agenzia Fides) - To mark the 30th anniversary of the death of Raoul Follereau, French journalist who dedicated his whole life to “brothers and sisters” suffering from Hansen disease, on Thursday 6 December the Pontifical Shrine of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Queen of the Rosary, will host a Meeting “His voice still resounds” orgsnised by the Italian non profit association Voglio Vivere, a member of the Raoul Follereau International Union which strives to put into action the message and teaching of the French journalist.
“The battle against leprosy is just the beginning of this great fight which we all, from wherever we come, are called to undertake to fight real leprosies, much more contagious, than leprosy disease, I refer to poverty, hunger, selfishness, fanaticism and cowardliness” Raoul Follereau said in his battle against evils which he considered far worse than leprosy.
