Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - The Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI on 6 October 2007 accepted the renunciation of the pastoral government of the archdiocese of Nairobi (Kenya), presented by Archbishop Raphael S. Ndingi Mwana’a Nzeki, in conformity with Canon Law, canon 401 § 1. The Holy Father appointed Archbishop of Nairobi (Kenya), Archbishop Bishop John Njue, until now coadjutor Archbishop of Nyeri.
