Beijing (Agenzia Fides) - “The Papal Letter will strengthen our unity and help clarify certain doubts which assail the Chinese Catholic community”. With this conviction Chinese priests studying overseas anxiously await, like their communities and dioceses, the Papal Letter promised by Pope Benedict XVI. Some of these priests told Fides: “we hope everyone will appreciate the real sense of the Letter and understand the Pope's intention motivated by the love and the concern of the universal Shepherd”. One of the priests said: “We need this letter and for a long time we have been waiting for this sort of document. The life and the pastoral activity of our local Church need clarity and secure guidance. I hope and we all hop the Letter will help to clarify the situation. The best way to accept the Papal Letter is prayer”. (NZ) (Agenzia Fides 27/6/2007 - righe 11, parole 155)
