AFRICA/ZAMBIA - Pontifical Mission Societies in Zambia opens new website for formation and mission animation

Lusaka (Agenzia Fides)- The Pontifical Mission Societies Office in Zambia has launched its new website. www.pmszambia.org . In a letter to present the initiative National Director Fr. Bernard Makadani Zulu writes: “The Pontifical Mission Societies have played and will continue to play a tremendous role in the pastoral ministry of the church in Zambia. The PMS contribute to the process of growth and implementation of the church. The societies strengthen our bond as evangelizers, and deepen our mutual appreciation for the tireless efforts of the local and universal church in conveying the mission of Christ to the ends of the earth”.
“Missionary animation is a priority for the Pontifical Mission Societies - the National Director continued - Within this pastoral care, formation is of decisive importance, for it is what accompanies the missionary maturation of the people of God; getting them to feel the need to learn and to be and act as true disciples of Jesus Christ.”
“To promote the missionary animation of our people, PMS office has set up a website. This will accord the priests, religious and laity get information for their animation. We are trying to get hold of every possibility available. We believe this project will enhance communication on different levels” said Fr. Zulu. This will help us to fight isolation and enhance solidarity, acquire and disseminate information.”
