Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - “Pastoral and Spiritual Care of Patients with incurable Pathologies” is the theme of World Day for the Sick 2007 for which the main celebrations on February 11, Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes, will be held in Seoul, South Korea.
The programme includes a Theological Day on 9 February focussed on the situation of chronically ill people in Asia, Catholic pastoral assistance and accompaniment today in Asia (especially in Korea), illumination of the Word of God and pastoral guidelines for Asia (especially Korea). The 10th of February will be the Pastoral Day focussed on the contents of Health Pastoral, the situation of Health Pastoral in Asia (especially in Korea) and Pastoral Guidelines in Asia (especially in Korea). February 11, Liturgical Day, there will be the welcoming of the Pope’s special envoy, the celebration of the Eucharist and the Anointing of the Sick.
