Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - The Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI has appointed Cardinal Crescenzio Sepe, Metropolitan Archbishop of di Naples (Italy), his Special Envoy to the Asian Mission Congress, in Chang Mai (Thailand) 19 to 22 October 2006. The appointment was made public on 19 August.
The Asian Mission Congress, the first of its kind, is organised by the Evangelisation Office of the FABC, Federation of Asian Bishops’ Conference with the support of the Congregation for the Evangelisation of Peoples and active collaboration of the Catholic Church in Thailand.
